Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wasan has ordered formation of a committee comprising the SSP West, Rangers’ officials and transporters’ representatives to chalk out a proper strategy for maintaining law and order and the traffic system.
He issued these directives while chairing a meeting on Wednesday to discuss security for Mauripur truck stand.
Provincial Transport Minister Akhtar Hussain Jadoon, additional inspector general, additional inspector general traffic, Rangers officials and representatives from transporters attended the meeting.
The representatives of transporters on the occasion expressed their reservations over the security and traffic arrangements for the Mauripur truck stand and for the adjoining areas and also forwarded some suggestions for the resolution of their problems.
The home minister directed the officials concerned to address the problems of the transporters and arrange proper security arrangements for the truck stand.
