Ravians lectured on how to be cleanliness freaks

Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has proposed an integrated waste management system for Government College University by presenting the university with 2 waste containers and a schedule according to which the containers would be emptied to ensure a waste free environment on campus.
Talking to the students and faculty members, LWMC Senior Manager Planning Nusrat Gill and LWMC Manager Communication Memoona Arslan, said the community’s role in general and students’ role in particular was very important in bringing about a positive change in the cleanliness of the city. LWMC officers were invited by GCU’s Environment Protection Society (EPS) to share their operational experiments and awareness-related experiences over the last year and a half.
LWMC’s team made a presentation on past, present and future strategies of the company and also briefed the participants about the upcoming international standard cleanliness services in the city in partnership with Turkish companies. The EPS also presented a shield to LWMC. EPS is celebrating a ‘Cleanliness Week’ at GCU in collaboration with LWMC.
