New and old Sindhis are firmly united for the development and progress of the province, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain said on Wednesday.
“In the past, certain elements tried to use the innocent people of Sindh for their vested interests, but there is a growing awareness among the inhabitants of the province that has enabled them to fight these conspiracies,” he told the office-bearers and activists of the MQM Hyderabad zone via phone.
Members of the MQM Rabita Committee, MNAs, MPAs and in-charge of the women’s wing of the Hyderabad zone were also present on the occasion.
The MQM chief warned the “elements against Pakistan” to stop their conspiracies immediately.
“The country is passing through extremely difficult times and if these conspiracies continue unabatedly, the country will reach the verge of a disaster,” he added.
Hussain said time had torn him away from his workers, but the spiritual connection between them remains.
The MQM chief also said as his hands are not tainted by corruption, the party’s activists raise their heads with pride and honour.
“The public meeting being staged by the MQM in Hyderabad on March 18 will establish that the permanent residents of Sindh are united under the party’s leadership,” he maintained.
