Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has condemned the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s statement concerning Pakistan and described it as an open threat to the country. In his reaction, Liaqat Baloch deplored that the rulers in Pakistan were demonstrating criminal silence at all threats out of sheer cowardice. It was ironical, he said, that drone attacks were continuing despite Prime Minister Gilani terming these as an attack on Pakistan’s “integrity and solidarity” while scores of innocent people were being killed. He said the US President Barrack Obama, secretary of state and other high officials continued to spit venom against this country but the Pakistan government was least bothered. He urged the masses to reject these “dead horses” in the next elections and elect sincere, competent and honest people who could work for their welfare.
