KI protests against establishment of varsity campus

On call of Khattak Ittehad, a rights organisation, all political parties and traders of Karak observed a shutter down strike on Tuesday and blocked Karak-Bannu Road for one and half hours as a protest against the establishment of a proposed university campus instead of a full-fledged university. The protesters led by KI Karak President Maulana Mirzaqeem marched from Peer Odeen Shah Mosque to Saddam Chowk.
They chanted slogans against the provincial government. Addressing the protesters, former provincial minister Fareed Tofan condemned the ANP-led provincial government and alleged that the government had developed an easy load culture in the province and defamed its red flag. He alleged that Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti was son of a corrupt man, who was notorious for corruption. Toofan said that senior provincial minister Bashir Bilour had threatened him but he would not let his voice down.
