Farmhouse massacre mystery solved

Investigation wing of Barky Police on Wednesday arrested a killer, involved in the killing of a retired major and his father back in November 2011. The killer was identified as Ghulam Mustafa, a servant of the victim Major (R) Shahid and his father Mansha, residents of a farm house located on Burki Road.
SP Investigations Cantt Division Syed Ameen Ali Bukhar told that Major Shahid and his father Mansha had been slaughtered brutally at their house on November 1, 2011. A case had been registered and investigations were underway in this regard. He said that a servant of the victim namely Ghulam Mustafa had been missing since the day of incident. He said that investigators of the case on his directions traced Ghulam Mustafa from his mobile numbers and arrested him.
He said that Ghulam Mustafa in police custody had confessed to his crime and had claimed that he murdered the major and his father in the name of honour. He, while quoting Ghulam Mustafa, said that Shahid used to tease Ghulam Mustafa’s wife, to whom he had contracted love marriage and had been receiving threats from his family. He said that Ghulam Mustafa had been informed by his wife about the eve teasing by Major Shahid, which had infuriated Ghulam Mustafa and he had slaughtered his employer. He said that when the major’s father had tried to raise alarms, the killer also killed him. He said that further investigations were underway.
ANOTHER QUACK
A 45-year old man died allegedly owing to negligence of Ganga Ram Hospital’s doctors on Wednesday. The deceased was identified Muhammad Riaz, a resident of Baghbanpura Area. As per details dozens of heirs of the victim on Wednesday lodged protest outside Ganga Ram Hospital after placing the body of Riaz in the middle of the road. Protestors claimed that Riaz had been brought to Ganga Ram Hospital for medication as he had been suffering due to breathing problem. The protesters claimed that the doctors of the said hospital had not had paid much attention towards Riaz due to which he had lost his life. Protesters continued their demonstration against hospital administration for more than an hour. Protestors during protest shouted slogans against the hospital administration and requested authorities to take serious notice of Riaz’s death. However, protestors disbursed peacefully after the police authorities ensured them to inquire the matter.
BURNED
A three-year old boy received burns in his Nawankot house on Tuesday when a boiling pot containing food fell on him. The injured boy was identified as Shahbaz, son of Muhammad Irshad. The injured boy was admitted to Mayo Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.
