Akram, Fayyaz help Pakistan Blind win third T-20

Mohammad Akram and Mohammad Fayyaz helped Pakistan won the third T-20 of their India series played on Tuesday at SPIC YMCA Chennai.
India won the toss and decided to bat first. Muhammad Akram and Idrees Saleem whom got late visas reached Chennai last night were included in the playing XI. Pakistan restricted India to 171 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Ganesh scored 33 runs, Parkash 32 and Kitan Patel made 20 runs. Muhammad Jameel was the pick of the bowlers for taking 3 wickets by giving away 30 runs.
Pakistan in reply reached home on 17.1 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Muhammad Akram played superbly for his unbeaten 77 runs and Muhammad Fayyaz’s unbeaten brisk 51 runs guided Pakistan to taste the first blood of the series. Pakistan thus won the match by four wickets and Akram was named the man of the match. Pakistan lost the T-20 series by 2-1. This is the first ever T-20 series lost by Pakistan, before that Pakistan had won 6 consecutive T-20 series. The One-day International series will commence from March 14 at SPIC YMCA Chennai.
