3 hand grenades recovered; 14 outlaws held

The city police on Tuesday claimed to have apprehended 14 outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered three hand grenades, weapons, wine and stolen mobile phones form their possession. The Golra police recovered three hand grenades from a suspect Sohail, resident of Rawalpindi. The accused was apprehended from Saadat Colony. The police also recovered 370 rounds of SMG from his possession. ASI Fazal Khaliq arrested an accused Waheed and recovered 30 bore pistol from his possession while Sub-Inspector Shah Nazar from Nolrea police station apprehended an accused Arsalan for possessing 30 bore pistol and seven rounds. Sub-Inspector Muhammad Usman from Bhara Kau police arrested two mobile thieves Shoaib and Haneef besides recovering mobiles from them. On a tip off, ASIs Imran Haider and Mumtaz Baig raided a hideout of dacoits in Sector G-9/1 and arrested three dacoits – Aurangzeb, Sohail and Ghulam Qadir. Another accused Jamshed Iqbal was arrested for having a 30 bore pistol. ASI Nasir Manzoor from Aabpara police nabbed two mobile thieves who were identified as Yunus and Hussain, and recovered three stolen cell phones from them while Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ishaq recovered two wine bottles from a bootlegger Pitras. Sabzi Manid police arrested two Afghan nationals identified as Aman Ullah and Muhammad Riaz who could not justify their stay in Pakistan.
