The problem faced by veiled women in the Pakistani society is that they are not getting jobs. Recently, the criteria of jobs seems to have changed form merit to beauty. Hence, women wearing veils and having no glamorous looks have trouble in finding a job. Majority of the employers appear to entertain modern and stylish women while ignoring merit. There are already fewer jobs available in the government sector. Therefore, people head towards private sector but the conditions for jobs there are not fulfilled by veiled women.
Over the past few years, the skills and competence have taken a back seat while the good and glamorous looks have become a criterion for getting a good job, which has almost barred the entry of many competent but veiled women in these sectors. This should not happen. This is not justice. They have equal rights to get a good job.
