Senior Superintendent Police of Gwadar escaped unharmed when unidentified gunmen opened fire on his vehicle in Shikarpur district, officials said on Tuesday.
Unknown miscreants ambushed SSP vehicle on late Monday night, Sindh police said adding that the officer escaped his life while a police personnel, described as his guard, was killed in the attack.
Law enforcement agencies have converged to the site of ambush and started investigations.
Dead body of ill-fated personnel was shifted to hospital for autopsy, police said.
Last week, DCO Gawadar was gunned down in Karachi.
