Bollywood actress Nupur denies role in match-fixing

Bollywood actress Nupur Mehta whose photographs was believed to be had been carried in the daily “Sunday Times” pertaining to its revelations in regard to its report on betting and match-fixing in cricket. The “Sunday Times” report has created a stir in the cricketing world especially within ICC which had been claiming all along that there was no such thing in world of cricket. Nupur said that the picture published in the Sunday Times was her but flatly denied that she reportedly has or had any relation with any of the Indian or international cricketers.
She said that allegations made are slanderous and baseless. She said that she has no links with any cricketers and noting to do with match-fixing. Though, she said that she has some interaction with some of the cricketer off and on during get-togethers but clarified there is not serious relationship with any of the cricketers. Nupur said that it is unfortunate and London’s Sunday Times has sullied my image. She said that she would be initiating action against them for smearing my image and giving me mental trauma.

The betting and match-fixing story by “Sunday Times” had also stated that world cup semi-final between India and Pakistan World Cup played at Mohali (Punjab) was also fixed claiming that bookmakers had used a Bollywood actress to seduce Pakistani players for fixing. During high-voltage semi-final, Pakistan dropped Tendulkar seven time raising suspicions of betting and match-fixing. Not only this, some of the Pakistani batsmen played very slowly in deliberate fashion which meant run-rate for achieving target kept on piling up all the time.
