Two JuD activists killed

Two activists of the outlawed JuD were shot dead over a monetary dispute in the Shadbagh Police precincts on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Ghafoor, 45, and Sadique, 50, both residents of Bhagatpura. Police said that both had sold a machine to Javed alias Munna and Ameen alias Meena for Rs 42,000. The victims used to approach Javed and Ameen for receiving the money, which was yet to be paid. On Sunday, Ghafoor and Sadiq visited the house of Javed who called his men and shot both of them. The injured were rushed to hospital where they succumbed to their injuries. Police removed the bodies to the morgue for autopsy and started investigating the matter after registering a case.
Talking to journalists, Misri Shah DSP Qaiser said that the deceased had a dispute with the killers since around six months. He said that police have stated investigating the matter and will soon arrest the criminals who managed to flee. Ghafoor was running a cloth shop in Azam Cloth Market while his cousin Sadique was running a shop of spare parts in Mughalpura Area.
MINOR KILLED: A six-year-old boy was strangled by unidentified men after sexual assault in the Batapur area. The unidentified man was found murdered from an area located near Lakhan Darbar in the Batapur Police precincts. Local residents spotted the body and informed police, which removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and started searching for the heirs of the deceased. Cantt Investigation SP Syed Ameen Bokhari suspected that unidentified men committed the crime but the autopsy report will reveal the real story.
MAN KILLED: Former Gujrat Union Council chairman was shot dead in Masti Gate area. The victim identified as Salim had an old enmity with Haider Ali and others, as they had killed his son Naeem and nephews Ghazanfar, Imran and Amjad. Police said that the victim came out of his shoe factory in Masti Gate area when his opponents approached him and shot him dead.
FACTORY OWNER KILLED: A factory owner was shot dead by his employees in Baghbanpura.
The deceased was identified as Muhammad Mian Farooq, who ran an iron factory. Police said that accused Imran, Irfan and Javed, who were brothers, had borrowed money from the victim. On Sunday, Farooq demanded them to pay back his money, upon which they exchanged hot words and shot him dead. The body was shifted to the morgue for autopsy.
GIRL KIDNAPPED: A 22-year-old girl was kidnapped by two brothers in Gulshan Iqbal area. Accused Adnan along with his brother Shahban kidnapped his former fiancée Rakhma Yaqoob, daughter of Muhammad Yaqoob of Nishtar Block. Police said that Adnan had a grudge against Rakhma after her parents had broken the engagement.
PROTEST: Family of a man, who was shot dead three days ago in the Yakki Gate area, staged a protest in front of the Lahore Press Club and demanded immediate arrest of killers involved in the murder. The protesters said that Asghar, Zahid and Tariq hired assassins who murdered Jamshed when he was on his way to home.
COPS INJURED: An inspector was shot and injured by two motorcyclists in the Lytton Road Police precincts. The injured was identified as Ejaz Dhaloon. Police registered a case against the unidentified men on complaint of the inspector. A constable of the Flying Squad was injured when he slipped from the bus and came under the rear wheels of a bus. The injured constable was identified as Muhammad Qasim Ali.
BODIES FOUND: Police recovered two bides from different parts of the city. 50-year-old Muhammad Shani of Depalpur expired in local hospital after he was found unconscious in the Bhaati Gate area. A 45-year-old man was found dead from near Pir Makki Darbar. Police claimed that the unidentified man was an addict who died of natural causes. Bodies were shifted to the morgue.
