PML-F says its strength lies in votes, not large public gatherings

The Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML_F) will show its strength through the votes it gets and not by staging large public gatherings, the newly elected president of the party’s Sindh chapter MNA Sadarudin Shah Rashidi said on Sunday.
“Everybody knows how such large public meetings and so-called tsunamis failed to deliver results in the 1997 elections,” he told the media after a meeting of his party’s Sindh Council.
“It is a secret as to who the PML-F will form an alliance with during the coming general elections. PML-F activists must start preparations for the polls,” he said.
“The PML-F will participate in elections, whether they are the local bodies’ polls or the general elections,” he added.
Rashidi noted that as per the present constitution, new provinces can be created on the basis of administration.
Earlier during the meeting of the PML-F Sindh Council, Rashidi was elected as the new president of the party’s Sindh chapter and Imtiaz Shaikh the general secretary.
