Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has condemned the bomb blast at a funeral in the Badhber area, located on the outskirts of Peshawar and expressed grief over the loss of lives in the attack.
According to a press statement, Hussain said terrorists are carrying out these blasts to dent the integrity of the country and want to create instability and chaos.
“These bloodthirsty terrorists do not deserve any leniency. The elements behind carrying out the deadly blast at the funeral are distorting the face of Islam, which is a religion of peace,” he added.
Hussain expressed sympathies to the bereaved families, whose relatives died in the attack and prayed for the early recovery of those injured.
The MQM chief urged President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and Interior Minister Rehman Malik to bring the perpetrators of the attack to justice.
