The prices of vegetable and fruits witnessed mixed trend at Sunday bazaars’ of the city as compared to previous week’s prices. The prices of onion and tomato witnessed a decrease as compared to the previous week, but the rates of other vegetable witnessed a mixed trend. This Sunday, the price of tomato witnessed a decrease of Rs 4 per kg. This week tomato was sold at Rs 28 per kg against the previous week’s rate of Rs 32 per kg. The prices of onion also witnessed a slight decrease of Rs 2 per kg and it was sold at Rs 36 per kg. According to the rate list, garlic was sold at Rs 112 per kg and ginger was sold at Rs 68 per kg.
This week gourd (tenda) was sold at Rs 50 per kg against the previous week’s rate of Rs 60 per kg. This week, ladyfinger was sold at Rs 120 per kg, pumpkin was sold at Rs 60 per kg, Brinjal was sold at Rs 60 per kg with an increase of Rs 10 per kg as during the last week it was available for Rs 50 per kg. This week the prices of cucumber also recorded a decrease of Rs 8 per kg. According to the list, cucumber was sold at Rs 26 per kg against the previous week’s rate of Rs 32 per kg.
However, this week the prices of brinjal witnessed a decrease of Rs 10 per Kg. This week, brinjal was sold at Rs 60 against the last week’s prices of Rs 50 per Kg. This week the prices of peas also witnessed an increase of Rs 10 per Kg and it was sold at Rs 60 per kg against the previous week’s rate of Rs 50 per kg.
However, the prices fruits remained stable. Apple (kalani) was sold at Rs 160 per kg against the last week’s prices of Rs 150 per kg, apple (golden) was sold at Rs 120 per kg and apple (China) at Rs 120 per kg. Banana sold at Rs 80 per kg per dozen with an increase of Rs 10 per kg. Last Sunday, banana sold at Rs 70 per dozen. Similarly, kino was sold at Rs 70 and orange at Rs 80 per dozen. This week, the prices of chicken also recorded a decrease of Rs 8 per kg. This week chicken was sold at Rs 132 per kg against the last week’s rate when it was available for Rs 140 per kg.
