Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Controller of Examinations Muhammad Bashir Chaudhary has announced the results of final examinations of the semester spring 2011. According to Chaudhry, the results of MSc (Chemistry), MSc (Environmental Design), MPhil (Economics), MPhil (Mass Communication), MPhil (Food and Nutrition), MPhil (Chemistry), MPhil (Physics), PhD (Chemistry), PhD (Pak Language-MPhil based) and PhD (Mass Communication) has been announced.
The controller examinations said the result intimation cards were being sent by post to the students at their given addresses. Any student who will not receive the result intimation card till March 18 has been advised to contact the examination department in main campus of the university personally or at Phone No. 051-9057334 or contact the nearest regional office to get the duplicate result card.
He further said the students can also download their result from the website www.aiou.edu.pk of the university. Meanwhile, AIOU admissions from Matriculation to MA/MSc level programme of the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) for the Semester Spring 2012 with late fee charges would be received till March 22.
Admission forms after 22nd March, 2012 will not be accepted in any case, this was stated by Director Admissions, AIOU Syed Zia-ul-Hasnain. Admission forms and prospectuses for all programmes offered in Spring, 2012 Semester can be obtained from the sale points at Main Cam, Regional Campuses and Coordinating Offices all over the country. He said that admission forms with required fee includes late fee charges can be submitted at the nationwide branches of First Women Bank, Bank Alfalah, Allied Bank and the designated branches of National Bank of Pakistan and Habib Bank Ltd, Fee in shape of Bank draft / Pay order will not be accepted.
Director Admissions said that late fee charges for Matric programme is Rs.200, for FA/BA is Rs 400 while Rs 1,000 for admission in MA/MSc programmes would be charged. He further said that results of Intermediate and BA programmes have been declared and provisional certificates (Completers) have been placed on website www.aiou.edu.pk of the University.
He said the students will have to attach the print copy of his/her downloaded completer with the admission form and will submit till March 22.
Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has incorporated necessary amendments in rules and regulations to regularise the services of its daily wages staff working in mailing section who have not been regularized so far due to lack of typing skill” this was stated by Prof Dr. Nazir Ahmed Sangi, Vice-Chancellor (AIOU) while inaugurating the book’s mailing process for the Spring, 2012 Semester. Dr Sangi said that amendments in rules and regulations would be shortly get approved from statuary bodies of the University.
