Robbers kill man in Sanda

A 35-years-old man was shot dead while his 65-year-old paternal uncle sustained serious bullet wounds when they offered resistance to three robbers at their shop in Sanda Police area on Friday.
Locals of the area after lodged a massive protest against Sanda Police after the incident. Police said the deceased Muneer Hussain and his uncle Haji Altaf Hussain were sitting in their store on the main Sanda Road near Akhri Stop when three armed robbers arrived. The robbers were desperate and opened fire on Muneer and his uncle without making any demand.
As a result, both Muneer and his uncle sustained serious bullet injuries while the robbers managed to escape without looting anything.
Locals said rescue officials rushed the injured to a nearby hospital where Muneer succumbed to his injuries while doctors said Hajid Altaf Hussain was in a critical condition.
Later, locals of the area staged a massive protest by blocking the main Sanda Road and set tyres on fire.
They chanted anti-police slogans and held the local police responsible for the mishap.
