Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Friday that the Mehran Bank scandal had been reopened to obscure the corruption of the present government. Talking to reporters outside Punjab Assembly, Sanaullah blamed the Establishment and secret agencies for reopening the Mehran Bank scandal. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader said the statements made about the scandal did not have any supporting proof. “The PML-N will fight the case, and the truth will come out,” he said, adding that his party would accept the court’s decision.

  1. These idiots of PML(N) are denying their corruption now but also don't realize that these cases were opened by their favorite chief justice not by PPP.

  2. Mr. (un)Law Minister, for your information, its not the government, but your own favourite Mr. CJ opening the case. And take my word, his real motive is to clear the "Shareefs" name – by hook or crook – from this scandal. And he will do it.

  3. The involvement and interference of the military in the country’s politics is an open secret. People from different circles have been pointing out this serious anomaly in the country’s affairs, rampant since decades. The resurfacing of the case is welcome, as justice demands it. The people of this country have been aspiring for the establishment of a true democratic set-up. However, almost every time, the country’s military and bureaucratic establishment has stymied them. This country, in its 64 years’ life has mostly been ruled by military regimes. Even the past democratic governments cannot be termed as real democratic set-ups since the army always played a major role in their formation and functioning. There are many politicians called the children of the establishment as their political careers were initiated, supported and established by the infamous ISI.

  4. Is there any doubt that Sharifs have not taken money? There are thousands and thousands videos that shows Sharifs’ admiration and support for military ruler in 80s and 90s. They are known for marriage of convenience, they are with PPP now to shield themselves against these cases. I am sure they will struck another secrete deal with PPP as they did with Musharaf.
