Punjab Sports Festival badminton event concludes

The Punjab Sports Festival 2012 is near conclusion with badminton tournaments came to an end here at Iqbal Park Sports Complex on Thursday. Categorically, Press Clubs, Bar Associations, Departments and Corporate Sector played the badminton finals. In the Press Clubs match, Faisalabad got first position whereas Multan secured second. In departments badminton final, Police attained first while Tevta achieved second position. In the blind cricket 1st semi-final match was played between Rawalpindi and Bahawalpur. Rawalpindi won the toss and put Bahawalpur to bat first. Bahawalpur set the competitive total of 198 runs on the board for the loss of nine wickets in allotted 15 overs. In reply, Rawalpindi managed to score 195 runs by losing 5 wickets in allotted 15 overs.Bahawalpur won by 3 runs. In the second semi-final, Sahiwal won the toss and decided to bowl first. Faisalabad set the massive total of 224 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in allotted 15 overs.In reply, Sahiwal made 196 runs by loosing 2 wickets. Faisalabad won by 28 runs . Today, the special persons blind cricket will be played at 9 am at the Iqbal Park Sports complex, Secertary Special Education Abdullah Khan Sumbal will be chief guest. During the Press clubs final cricket at LCCA ground at 11 am, Khuwaja Imran Nazeer will be the chief guest and at the Bar associations cricket final will be played at 9 am at LCCA ground.
