Punjab govt violates rules by leaving PMA out of Advisory Committee

The Punjab government has nominated the technical advisory committee of the Punjab Health Care commission in violation of chapter II clause 10 of the Commission Act 2010.
The clause states that there will be a 24-member technical advisory committee with representatives from Pakistan Medical Association (PMA), Young Doctors Association (YDA) and family physicians. Along with members of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) and the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), the Punjab government has nominated a number of doctors excluding members from the PMA The doctors nominated are Additional Secretary Health (Technical) Dr. Asad Asraf executive district officers departments (Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan), Dr. Muhammad Sarwar, chief executive officer of the National Hospital Lahore, Prof. Dr Shakeela Zaman, and Professor of preventive paediatrics at Institute of Child Health Diseases, Lahore.
PMA office bearers were outraged that representatives for doctors had been left out of the committee and demanded the Punjab government to include their names sying they would be forced to protest. The PMA office bearers are Dr. M. Tanveer Anwar, Dr Izhar Ahmed, Prof Dr M Ashraf Nizami, Dr Shahid Malik, Dr Ihsan Rehman, Dr Yasmin Ihsan, Dr Kamran, Dr Sabahat Habib Khan and Dr Salman Kazmi.
