Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Thursday advised President Asif Ali Zardari to confer Hilal-e-Imtiaz upon Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, in recognition of her achievements in filmmaking and contribution to highlighting important social issues in Pakistan through her documentaries, for which she was
recently awarded the Academy Award becoming the first Pakistani to receive the elusive cinematic honour.
