Lady Gaga furious over biopic plans

Lady Gaga is said to be fuming over plans to make a biopic on her because she doesn’t want to be portrayed as “needy”. “She’s furious, she’s recoiling at the thought of her life being exposed on television,” a website has quoted a source as saying. The 25-year-old ‘Born This Way’ singer is said to be “cringing” at the idea of having her rise to fame portrayed in forthcoming film ‘Fame Monster: The Lady Gaga Story’. While producers are on the lookout for an unknown to play Gaga, the woman herself is believed to be raging over the news. “Gaga doesn’t want it getting out because it will portray her as insecure and needy. (She) wants to be seen as powerful and strong,” the source added. TV network Lifetime originally acquired the rights to the movie – which is being written by Norman Snider and is based on Maureen Callahan’s 2010 book ‘Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga’. The eccentric star is not normally one to shy away from publicity, and even admits she “needs” to be in the spotlight. She told Vanity Fair magazine: “I love show business. I need it. It’s like breath. I only know the happiness
of putting a smile on someone’s face from the stage.” Gaga recently hit the milestone of having 20 million Twitter followers making her the most popular person on the social networking site.
