Dubai-return robbed

Three dacoits including a woman looted around a million rupees and gold jewellery from a Dubai-returned citizen in Mughalpura police precincts on Thursday. According to the details, the victim, Akhtar Hussain had returned to Pakistan some two days back from Dubai. On the day of incident, he was out of the home when a woman visited his home impersonating a paying guest. However, when Akhtar’s family opened the door, two armed men held a family member hostage on gunpoint and indulged in robbing the household articles. A family member said the dacoits have taken away 45,000 Saudi Riyal and one tola gold. No FIR had been lodged till the filing of this report.
MURDER: Swindlers claimed life of a devotee Amjad Bhatti, resident of Gujranwala, at a shrine at the Shahdra police precincts on Thursday. According to details, the victim had come at the shrine of Baba Jamil Chishti, where swindlers gave him poisonous food in the garb of holy sweet (Tbarruk). He was taken to Mayo Hospital where medics announced him dead.
ACCIDENT: A 15-year-old youth died while his brother sustained injuries when an over-speeding truck ran over them in Shahdara Town area on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Chaand and his brother Imran. According to details, both the brothers were travelling on a motorcycle when a rashly driven truck hit them, as a result of which both received serious injuries. Being taken to a local hospital Chand succumbed to his injuries while the condition of the other was stated critical.
FIRE: A fire in a cycle manufacturing factory turned goods worth millions of rupees to ashes on Thursday. According to details, fire broke out because of short circuiting. Firefighters rushed to the scene on getting information of flames and put the fire out after hectic efforts.
