A case has been registered against slain Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden’s family, which illegally entered into the country, Interior Minister Senator Rehman Malik said on Thursday. Talking to journalists, the minister said that the family was presented in court and they had been on judicial remand. He said that Bin Laden’s family was shifted to a house in Islamabad for three days now, adding that the slain terrorist’s children had been exempted from legal action. Malik said that all facilities were being provided to them. He dispelled reports that he had told the Abbottabad Commission that the federal government was aware of Bin Laden’s presence in its territory. Malik said that Bin Laden’s family would be allowed to leave the country after fulfilling legal requirements. The minister said that the residence where the family was kept had been declared sub-jail.
