Anne Hathaway’s most varied performance will never be seen on the silver screen because it’s a recorded reading for an upcoming audiobook. The Oscar-nominated actress narrated L. Frank Baum’s ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ as a part of Audible.com’s series ‘The A-List Collection’. “It’s a story that the more fun you have with it — the sillier and more creative you get with it — I think, the better it is because it’s a story that can handle it,” said Anne, who displayed an extravagant range of character voices while reading the book. “I just felt like I was reading to a child the whole time,” Anne said. “I felt like I was reading to my little cousins, trying to keep them entertained.” Other notable books in the
series include Kate Winslet’s performance of ‘Therese Raquin’, Samuel L. Jackson’s performance of ‘A Rage in Harlem’ and Susan Sarandon’s performance of ‘The Member of the Wedding’.
