At least 17 militants were killed and 12 others were wounded in clashes with security forces in Upper Orakzai Agency, military officials said on Wednesday. The officials said that militants ambushed a post manned by security personnel, but had to face stern retaliation in which 17 militants were killed. They said that six foreign nationals were also among those killed in the skirmish occurring late Tuesday night in a remote area of Orakzai Agency. The officials did not provide any information on casualties from the military side.
