The Sports Journalists Association of Lahore outplayed the Sports Writers Association of Punjab by 65 runs in the cricket match of the Punjab Sports Festival held at Faisal Town ground on Wednesday. SJAL scored 135 runs. Abdul Rauf scored 70 runs while Imran Sohail made 34 for their team to win in 8 overs. On the other side, SWAP could manage 79 runs at the loss 5 wickets. SJAL also beat Lahore Press Club to qualify for the final to be played against Multan Press Club. In the bar association cricket, Gujranwala beat Lahore by 11 runs. The score was 105 by Lahore and 116 by Gujranwala. Bahawalpur beat Rawalpindi by 2 runs at 7 wickets loss.
In the press clubs cricket teams, Multan defeated Sahiwal by 9 wickets. In the special children cricket, Sahiwal beat Lahore by 12 runs, Sahiwal again defeated Gujranwala by 20 runs. Rawalpindi beat Multan by 35 runs.
