Supreme Court (SC) has decided to trigger contempt of court proceedings against former Federal Law Minister Babar Awan.
The court said the press conference by Babar Awan dated December 1 contains contemptuous matter; hence, the contempt proceedings will be taken up against him and contempt charge will be framed against him on March 20.
The initial hearing were completed by March 1. During Thursday’s proceedings, Babar Awan’s counsel Ali Zafar Advocate was not present. Lawyers in large number were present with Babar Awan.
