Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Thursday that Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) always protested against judicial verdicts rather than accepting them.
“Currently three contempt cases are in proceedings against PPP leaders. It is the track record of the party to make fun of the court decisions”, he added.
He said the verdict of Election Commission in Waheeda Shah’s case would have better impact in future and law violators would be discouraged. He said further the decision would encourage polling staff and bring public’s confidence over election process. He added that PML-N was in favour of the historic decision by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Commenting on Raja Riaz ‘s statement that Waheeda Shah did not slap polling staff but she only pushed them, Rana Sana Ullah said that slapping was violation ,no matter it came from fore hand or back hand.
