The Pakistan table tennis team which is to participate in the World Championship was on Wednesday asked by the Germany embassy to produce permission letter of the Pakistan Sports Board. The 2012 World Team Table Tennis Championships will be held at the Westfalenhallen in Dortmund, Germany from March 25 to April 1. The embassy delayed the team’s visa consisting of four male and the same number of female players on grounds that they did not produce the No Objection Certificate of the Pakistan Sports Board. However, the players produced the NOC of their departments. Shahjahan Latif, secretary Lahore table tennis pointed out that the visas were delayed because the federation was trying to get some non-genuine table tennis official visa of Germany and urged the PSB to issue NOCs to the players and genuine official so that they could take part in the c’ship.
