An eye-catching exhibition titled ‘SPRING ART FESTIVAL’ was inaugurated at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) Campus by Design and Visual Arts Department. Dr Sabiha Mansoor Vice Chancellor, LCWU and Prof Sajjad Kausar, Principal National College of Arts (NCA) graced the occasion. The exhibition displayed the sculpture, painting, design and photography work of BFA and MS students. Students worked on various themes and executed their work with different materials like wrought iron, clay, wire, wood etc. The chief guest of the occasion Prof.
Sajjad Kausar fully appreciated the efforts of the students and Dr Sabiha Mansoor encouraged the faculty and students of Design and Visual Arts/ Fine Arts Department and said that that kind of display promoted LCWU’s image. A large audience visited the exhibition. Zammurad Safdar, head of the department said that such activities would be continued further to promote design and visual arts faculty and students. From the past many years art festivals were being arranged but this was the first time an outdoor exhibition was arranged in the university campus, he added.
