The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan on Wednesday demanded that whenever required, the military could be called in to curb sectarian violence in any part of the country. In a press statement, the HRCP expressed its grief over the sectarian attack on a bus carrying 18 passengers of Shia community. Welcoming a statement of the army chief over extension of cooperation to trace out assailants, the HRCP stressed that military and civilian set up should jointly work out a mechanism to check such kind of incidents in future and stop open sale of military uniforms in the markets.
