The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday gave 48 hours to the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) for correcting the mistakes in computerised voters’ lists. The ECP secretary summoned the NADRA chairman and provisional ECP officials and expressed his resentment over the mistakes committed by NADRA while preparing voters’ lists. In door-to-door verifications, 127,000 entries out of 5.3 million verified so far, have been found defective, while the correction process is still in progress. The ECP also directed NADRA to address public complaints lodged at display centres. ECP officials informed Online that voters’ lists, comprising some 83 million voters, were displayed across the country.
