NAB to retrieve money from illegal transfer of Qasr-e-Zauk

The Executive Board of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in its meeting Wednesday discussed the strategy to retrieve the money from the illegal beneficiaries of the transfer of Qasr-e-Zauk for its refund to the genuine affectees of M/s Aglam Global Links (Pvt) on the directions of the Supreme Court.
The board meeting was chaired by Adm (Retd) Fasih Bokhari who directed the NAB, Punjab officials to come up with all facts and figures to brief him by Thursday so as to take decision on merit in this case.
The board approved the extension in re-payment period of outstanding balance by Younas Habib as agreed by the lender Habib Bank. The Yunas Habib group has so far paid almost two billion rupees and the schedule for the remaining amount of over Rs1 billion as consented by HBL will be admitted within the span of three years by sale of mortgaged properties.
The board approved the closure of inquiries against Wali Ullah Khan, MD Marshal Multimore Limited for non submission of any evidence by the complainant.
Inquiry against Imdad Ali Avesi, EDO Revenue, Karachi was also approved for closure as the land allotted was retrieved by the Sindh government. No loss accordingly was caused to the public exchequer. Approval of the closure of Investigation against Shahid Zaman of PIA due to lack of evidence was made. The voluntary return of the employees of Population Census Organization in Afghan Census Project was also approved.
