‘Askari-III murderer caught!’

The mystery of the murder of five members of a household in a bungalow in Askari-III was apparently solved on Tuesday with police claiming they have captured the killer – the family’s former driver. SSP Crime Branch Farooq Awan said Israr, the family’s former driver, has confessed to his crime and told the police that he was take revenge against the family for firing him. The five members of a retired government officer’s family were found murdered in their home in Askari III Housing Scheme, near the Cantt Railway Station, on February 29.
Three killed: At least three people were killed in different areas of the city on Tuesday. Unidentified assailants shot dead a man identified Badshah in Essa Nagri near Hassan Square, police said. In another incident, a driver was gunned down by unidentified culprits near Teen Talwar in Clifton. The victim was identified as Shoaib Rasool. Separately, the police found the bullet-riddled body of woman in Chensar Goth near Kala Pul. The deceased, identified as Nadia was a resident of Sindhi Colony.
The Tipu Sultan SHO told Pakistan Today that the family of the victim has nominated a man named Ishaq in the FIR.
