Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) high command decided on Monday to replace Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly, Raja Riaz in the wake of Aslam Gill’s defeat in Senate elections, media reported.
The decision was taken during a high-level meeting of the party under the chair of PPP co-chairman President Asif Ali Zardari. It was also decided that new opposition leader would be announced after consultation within party.
It was also decided during the meeting to probe the defeat of Aslam Gill in Senate elections in Punjab Assembly.
