Marvi Memon’s decision to join PML(N) is very timely and very correct. Marvi is one female in Pakistan politics, who has the talent and character to be there in politics. She has proven in her own accord that politics is not the game of rhetoric and acting. It is not like a film role to perform. Politics is real. It requires of an individual much more than that. It demands some serious efforts from an individual. Above all, its pre-requisite is a balanced mind. Marvi has demonstrated on more than one occasion that she has these qualities.
I understand that even PML(N) has Sharif family sitting on top of the party. Even though they have introduced their sons and daughters to politics to ensure that their party remains in family, I think with the passage of time, their platform will slip into the hands of non-Sharifs. Marvi will be there to take the lead.
As for PPP, ZAB and BB are dead and gone. Zardari and the clan has not even an iota of charisma that Bhuttos had, nor do they have intelligence or wisdom to carry the rule any further, no matter what Zardari does. Sharifs won’t be there for all times to come. Hamza and Maryam too do not have the abilities to go on to next generation. Marvi has all the chances to emerge with a new wave of real politics. Marvi is young, energetic and hard working. I think she has the potential to lead the country, if little groomed.
