In an exciting partnership, the House of Kamiar Rokni teamed up with Bonanza to bring its exclusive designs straight from the runway and to an accessible and affordable lawn collection for Spring/Summer 2012. The collection titled ‘Tradition, Romance and Modernity’ was presented at an exclusive preview and fashion show at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club. The exclusive preview hosted for clients and media consisted of a fashion show, MC’d by designer Kamiar Rokni himself who gave ‘live commentry’ throughout the show describing how to wear each of the seasons’ designs in accordance with each model walking down the ramp. Styled by Toni & Guy the show featured 30 designs from the collection. Present at the evening were singer Tahira Syed, PFDC Chairperson Sehyr Saigol; designers Nickie and Nina, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, Ammar Belal, Asifa and Nabeel, Sonia Azhar, Faraz and Sundus Manan of Rouge and Akif Mahmood; jeweller Shazia Deen of Neemar, singer Kiran Chaudhry, actress and television host Juggun Kazim, Sanam Taseer of The Drawing Room, stylist Shahzad Raza of Athar Shahzad, photographer Khawar Riaz along with stylists Shammal Qureshi and Redah Misbah. The evening was organised by Catwalk and Catalyst with public relations for The House of Kamiar Rokni by Lotus. Kamiar Rokni’s signature patterns, designs and embellishments have been incorporated in the lawn collection. Made from the highest quality fabrics, the debut collection consists of 20 designs accompanied by extra panels, satin strips, lace strips, diamante lace and brooches, thus giving plenty of design and stitching options. The dominant colours incorporated in this lawn collection are hot pink, lilac, aqua, yellow, orange, beige, red, black and white with the idea to keep the colours fresh, striking and pretty. The designs range from bold graphics to soft florals and as with the colours, carry the tendency to appeal to a wide audience while keeping the uniqueness intact.
