DCO Gwadar shot dead in Karachi

District Coordination Officer (DCO) Gwadar Abdul Rehman Dashti was gunned down here late Monday night.
According to details, the dead body of DCO Gwadar Abdul Rehman Dashti was recovered from a car outside a banglow in Defence Khayaban-e-Tanzeem area of the city.
The police said that the deceased was shot dead at point blank range with several bullets.
SP Clifton Tariq Dharejo said the car in which the dead body was found is owned by Mir Imam, a feudal landlord of Balochistan.
DIG South Commander Shaukat opined that the deceased had come to the house of Mir Imam to attend a marriage ceremony where he argued on some issues leading to the tragic murder.
He said initially two suspects, believed to be the servants at the banglow of the alleged killer, have been detained for investigations. Further investigations are underway, he added, saying that the owner of the car has fled the crime scene.
He added the crime scene had been partially housed down by the servants before the security agencies arrived there.
The police was carrying out raids to arrest Mir Imam Bazinjo, who stands accused of killing his friend. Meanwhile, the security at the Sindh-Balochistan border has also been beefed up with a view to arrest the suspect.
