A shameful act

Peoples Party’s candidate Waheeda Shah has acted out on her rage over alleged fraud of voting in Tando Allahyar polling station. She went there and beat up the presiding officers, Shugfta and Habiba, in presence of a police inspector. The scenes were shown on different TV channels and reported live.

No action so far has been taken against her. Police should immediately register a case against her and arrest her. This behaviour cannot be condoned as it is against all the moral values.

It has caused grievous injury to the whole system and democratic processes. It is a criminal conduct and violence against public servants and interference in the performance of their duties.

The Election Commission should take immediate action and disqualify her. A sacrilegious and shameful act has been done in public. It is a slap on the face of democracy. She should be sent to jail.

The Supreme Court has taken a suo motu notice of this horrible and violent incident. Meanwhile, the Chairman PPP should apologise to the nation and take immediate action against the culprit. The Chief Minister Sindh should also apologise over this incident and personally supervise action against Waheeda Shah.
