At least three militants were killed by Frontier Corps (FC) as soldiers repulsed their attack in Dera Bugti area of Balochistan, official sources said on Monday.
The sources said that militants ambushed the paramilitary convoy in Och area of Dera Bigti and fled the scene as forces retaliated. They added that the FC launched a search operation in the area to arrest the militants.
Moreover, as many as three FC check posts were removed in different parts of Balochistan. The areas included Mian Gundi, Bulbuli and Darakhshan. The Baloch nationalists have long been demanding removal of the paramilitary check posts.
Meanwhile, a police man was killed and another injured as unknown armed men opened fire in Nasirabad area of the province.
