The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday upheld result of seven Senate seats from Balochistan, earlier suspended over rigging allegations.
Provincial Election Commissioner Abdul Jabbar Jamali had withheld the results of general seats after the objection of PML-N against Awami National Party’s candidate Daood Khan. PML-N had accused the opponent of rigging and wrong use of ballot-papers.
Election Commission of Balochistan had shifted the complete record to Islamabad.
The ECP on Monday rejected objection of PML-N and upheld the decision of provincial election commissioner regarding seven general seats of Senate in Balochistan.
ECP declared Dawood Khan Achakzai of Awami National Party (ANP) successful. After the decision, PPP has won three seats while ANP, PML-Q, JUI-F and BNP-A got one seat each. NNI
