Pakistan on Monday successfully test-fired the short range surface-to-surface nuclear capable ballistic missile Hatf II (Abdali), as part of the process of validation of land-based ballistic missile systems.
“Hatf II (Abdali), with a range of 180kms, carries nuclear as well as conventional warheads with high accuracy. It provides an operational level capability to Pakistan’s strategic forces, additional to the strategic and tactical level capability, which Pakistan already possesses,” said an ISPR statement. The test was witnessed by Strategic Plans Division Director General Lieutenant General (r) Khalid Ahmed Kidwai, Army Strategic Force Command Commander Lieutenant General Tariq Nadeem Gilani, senior officers from the armed forces, scientists and engineers of strategic organisations.

    • It's only about a couple of million dollars that rode on that plume to make our countrymen proud …

    • He ha ha…he ha ha…Inshah Allah!!!…Nuclear weapons are exclusively made for Muslims…no other religion and country should have it…Sharia should have special provisions for Nuclear weapons…

  1. And while the bomb is being tested, tens of thousands go hungry, or are without power, or gas, or water, with increasing prices of household items and corruption taking hold in every corner of the country.

  7. These missles are nothing but ego booster for the top military brass. What they don't understand is that it takes guts (which they lack) to launch these. The political and the military leadership lacks the wisdom and the will to properly use it as a deterent.

  8. Its a grate achievement all due to the grace of Almighty Allah who blessed us the best leaders in the field of science. We must pray to Allah He provide us good political leaders too.Amin

    • Actually Allah gave Pakistan the choice to pick some scientist amongst the best in missiles and weapons, medicine, science and others. Pakistan only picked (and kept) the first one and threw the others away in the corner…

  9. Dear fellow countrymen:

Another army toy developed by this great nation that is on the cross roads of hope and change. While all this kind of development is good for the nation, let us all give priority to :

    1. Let us all rise against corruption in this country together.
    2. Provide Education system to Pakistanis, to make it one system that is for all poor or rich.
    3. Provide Health system that is accessible to all equally poor or rich
