Three militants were killed by the Frontier Corps (FC) personnel as they repulsed an attack in the Dera Bugti area of Balochistan, official sources said on Monday. The sources said that militants ambushed a paramilitary convoy in the Och area of Dera Bugti. The sources said that the militants fled the scene after the forces retaliated. In a related development, three FC checkposts have been removed from the Mian Gundi, Bulbuli and Darakhshan areas. Baloch nationalists had been demanding the removal of the paramilitary checkposts from these areas for a long time.
