The Islamabad Police Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) arrested 43 accused, including 13 proclaimed offenders. A police spokesman said the arrests were made during the last month. Looted items worth Rs 1.8 million were also recovered from their possession. According to details, 37 cases were resolved by the CIA police team during the last month while many dacoits, thieves and narcotics smugglers were also arrested.
The challans for the 37 cases were also submitted into the relevant courts by the CIA police after completing their investigations. The CIA police teams headed by CIA In-charge Bashir Ahmed Noon also arrested 11 people for their alleged involvement in possessing illegal arms and weapons. Seven cases were registered against drug pushers and cache of narcotics was also recovered from them.
