The civil judge, who was already under suspension, was proceeded against under Punjab Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 1999 on the charge of misconduct within the meaning of rule 3(b) and (c) of the rules. Later Justice Rauf Ahmad Sheikh afforded personal hearing on behalf of LHC chief justice to the accused judge who could not defend his position as his record and proof of misconduct spoke loudly against him.
