How could you start programmes without PMDC’s permission?

Pakistan Medical and Dental Council has failed to notify the registered degree and diploma programmes of public and private sector universities and medical colleges in the 3rd schedule and also on the official website of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
Young doctors have strongly protested against the fact that the medical colleges and universities had been initiating the degree and diploma programmes without prior permission from the PMDC and had been propelling doctors admitted in the abovementioned programmes to protest against the council to get the programmes registered.
YDA Office bearers Dr Rana Sohail, Dr Salman Kazmi, Dr Talha Sherwani, Dr Ghulam Qasim, Dr Murtaza Bloch, Dr Muhammad Khawar Khan, Dr Shahid Dreshik, Dr Waqas Gondal, Dr Shehzad, Dr Asim, Dr Shams, Dr Muhammad Azhar and Dr Muhammad Amjad further said that the medical universities were earning millions in the name of admission fees for admitting students in these degrees and diploma courses. They have further said that these programmes included PhD, MS, MD, M.Phil and diploma programmes. They added that the higher education commission was also ignorant of the fact that medical universities needed to take prior permission form PMDC to start any programme and was recognising programs which in fact could not be started without prior facilities at these institutes.
YDA has demanded strict action against the principals and vice chancellor who had been involved in starting the programmes without approval of PMDC and also demanded the PMDC to notify all registered degree diploma programmes on their official website without delay otherwise doctors would be forced to move against them in a court of law.
