Around 10,000 people have been confirmed registration for participation in the Marathon Race of the Punjab Sports Festival. Addressing a press conference along with DG Sports Punjab Usman Anwar, Deputy Speaker/Chairman organizing committee sports Festival Rana Mashood Ahmed informed that the upcoming Marathon and Family Fun Race they have received healthy response for participation in these races. He also showed his satisfaction and pleasure over the successful organization of the Sports festival which has created a hype of festivity not only in Punjab but all over the province. “We have brought to the fore thousands of talented players from grass root level through this festival,” he said.
He said that all the fool proof security arrangements have been completed for the Marathon, which is to be held on March 4.
“Over 10,000 people have been registered in the two races including 17 km Marathon and 3 Km Famliy fun race having 25 prizes for Marathon and 13 for Family fun race,” he added. He further said that such events are a source of bringing the people together and a healthy source of inspiration.
