National Highways and Motorway Police organized a week long Sports Festival 2012 which concluded on Thursday amid colourful closing ceremony. Minister Communication Dr. Arbab Alamgir and Inspector General NH&MP Wajid Ali Khan were the chief guests of the ceremony. DIG Training Shahid Yar Khan, DIG Motorways Jahanzeib Khan Jogezai, Zonal Commander N-5Central SSP Nisar Soraya, Commandant Training College Riaz Nazir Ghara and other official of motorway police were also present on the occasion.
Players of West, N-5 South, N-5 Central, N-5 North, Motorways Zone, NH&MP Training College and NH&MP Headquarters participated in the week long sports events of cricket, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, tug of war, athletics and football. N-5 Central Zone was declared best zone among all zones of NH&MP for its outstanding performance in the sports events. Dr. Arbab distributed the trophies and medals among the winners and runner-ups of different games. The minister presented the trophy of ‘Best Zone’ to Zonal Commander N-5 Central SSP Nisar Soroya.
