Students and faculty members of Management Sciences of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) participated in an entrepreneurial business plan competition held at National University of Science and Technology (NUST).
According to a press release issued here on Thursday by IIUI, the students from FMS provided solutions for healthy life and environment by the name of business plan idea “organic farming”. Due to usage of synthetic fertilizers society involved in different diseases like hepatitis, diabetes, colon cancer, heart diseases to provides cure for the diseases students of IIUI furnished a plan for making “organic farming” at masses. FMS students competed and qualified for top 10 teams among 1,200 registered students, 250 ideas from 30 universities from all over the Pakistan. This competition was held in NUST, Islamabad under Discover Prime Minister entrepreneurial Challenge 2011. Students who participated in the event included Imran Khizar, Sami-ur-Rehman, Naveed Ilyas, Numair Nisar, Muhammad Mubeen Sarwar. This team of five students won Rs 20,000 from “Discover-NUST” competition. The rector of the university, Prof Fateh Muhammad Malik and President Sahibzada Sajid-ur-Rehman congratulated students for their brilliant performance. The press release said the IIUI rector and president announced Rs 20,000 cash prize for the students.
